Lake Snowden has hosted the Ohio Pawpaw Festival since 2001. It is located just outside of Albany, Ohio, on US 50.
The park, owned and operated by Hocking College, offers limited overflow tent campsites during the festival, with an area designated for families. Limited shower facilities are available for registered campers only. Electric sites generally sell out a year in advance.
Limited overflow tent only camping is available for a flat rate TBA per site for the weekend (Friday and Saturday nights only). Sites are 15′ x 15′ and can accommodate one large tent or two small tents; maximum of six campers per site. This is on a first-come, first-served basis, and reservations only can be made by calling the Lake Snowden park office at 740-698-6373. Office hours for the 2023 TBA.
The festival has long partnered with Zero Waste Event Productions to oversee trash disposal, recycling and composting. Their staff and volunteers keep the venue clean all weekend through on-site waste management, materials sorting and grounds cleanup.
